Estimate a starting chiller-capacity range. This is a planning tool; manufacturer performance curves at your ambient and water temperatures are more important than a headline horsepower label.
Why horsepower is not enough
Horsepower labels do not provide a universal cooling output. Delivered capacity changes with ambient temperature, water temperature, airflow, flow rate, and system design. Use a performance table where available.
Next steps
Read the chiller sizing guide, calculate volume with the volume tool, and compare operating cost with the ice-versus-chiller calculator.
Calculator note: Results are planning estimates, not medical advice or equipment guarantees. Verify assumptions against the manufacturer’s documentation and local electricity or water conditions.
